The default behaviour of the Apple Safari browser in version 13 is to disable audio playback for sites unless explicitly set.

This can be enabled by going to the site settings menu

From here set the Auto-Play (which defaults to "Stop Media with Sound" to "Allow All Auto-Play"

You will need to refresh your browser page and following this audio playback should return as expected.
